National Civil Rights Museum Print Ad Campaign
On April 4 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis Tennessee, civil rights activist and pastor Martin Luther King, Jr. was murdered. Today the Lorraine Motel is the center for the National Civil Rights Museum. This ad series was designed to spur interest in a contemporary audience and to coerce them to visit the museum and to learn about civil rights and its role in the shaping of American history.
I chose three lesser-known civil rights activists to be the faces of the NCRM ad series, each standing out as an activist with entirely different personalities and occupations. Each has made a major impact on racial equality across several spheres of influence, including law, entertainment, literature, and medicine. It all begins with an idea.
