Wedding Invitation Suite No.1

When my wife Sarah and I got married, we wanted to make the design of our wedding invitation suite as special as any other detail of the wedding, so I decided to design our wedding invitations myself, aligning every detail to coordinate with flowers, tablecloths, and surrounding Texas landscape. Because of our love for nature and the summer setting for the wedding, a floral theme was a natural direction.

The flowers used include Primroses, Indian Paintbrushes, and Baby’s Breath. The colors used are taken directly form the naturally occuring colors of these flowers in the wild, which ultimately were chosen to be our wedding colors: pastel pink, dusty pink, maroon, and cool gray.

The juxtaposition of organic forms with with the gridded organization creates a language of modern elegance which speaks to both my wife and I as designers.
